14 For the Lord will not reject his people;a
he will never forsake his inheritance.
15 Judgment will again be founded on righteousness,b
and all the upright in heartc will follow it.
16 Who will rise upd for me against the wicked?
Who will take a stand for me against evildoers?e
17 Unless the Lord had given me help,f
I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.g
18 When I said, “My foot is slipping,h”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me.
19 When anxietyi was great within me,
your consolationj brought me joy.
20 Can a corrupt thronek be allied with you—
a throne that brings on misery by its decrees?l
21 The wicked band togetherm against the righteous
and condemn the innocentn to death.o
22 But the Lord has become my fortress,
and my God the rockp in whom I take refuge.q
23 He will repayr them for their sins
and destroys them for their wickedness;
the Lord our God will destroy them.
1 Come,t let us sing for joyu to the Lord;
let us shout aloudv to the Rockw of our salvation.
2 Let us come before himx with thanksgivingy

9 where your ancestors testedn me;
they tried me, though they had seen what I did.
10 For forty yearso I was angry with that generation;
I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray,p

11 So I declared on oathr in my anger,
