3 And he shewed me aJoshua bthe high priest standing before cthe angel of the Lord, and d||Satan standing at his right hand †to resist him. 2 And the Lord said unto Satan,
eThe Lord rebuke thee, O Satan;
Even the Lord fthat hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee:
Is not this ga brand plucked out of the fire?
3 Now aJoshua was hclothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. 4 And he ianswered and spake unto jthose that stood before him, saying, kTake away hthe filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, lI have llcaused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and mI will clothe thee with nchange of raiment. 5 And I said, Let them set a fair omitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the Lord stood by. 6 And the angel of the Lord protested unto aJoshua, saying,
7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts;
If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt pkeep my ||charge,
Then thou shalt also qjudge my house, and shalt also keep my courts,
And rI will give thee †places to walk among jthese that stand by.
8 Hear now, aO Joshua the high priest, thou,
And thy fellows that sit before thee:
For sthey are †men wondered at:
For, behold, I will bring forth tmy servant uthe BRANCH.
9 For behold the stone that I have laid before aJoshua;
vUpon one stone shall be wseven eyes:
Behold, I will xengrave the graving thereof, saith the Lord of hosts,
And lI ywill remove the iniquity of that land zin one day.
10 aIn that day, saith the Lord of hosts,
Shall ye call every man his neighbour
bUnder the vine and under the fig tree.
4 And athe angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, bas a man that is wakened out of his sleep, 2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold ca candlestick all of gold, †with da bowl upon the top of it, and ehis seven lamps thereon, and ||seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof: 3 And ftwo olive trees by it, one upon the right side of dthe bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. 4 So I answered and spake to athe angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord? 5 Then athe angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, gKnowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto hZerubbabel, saying,
iNot by ||might, nor by power, but jby my spirit,
Saith the Lord of hosts.
7 Who art thou, kO great mountain? before hZerubbabel thou shalt lbecome a plain:
And he shall bring forth mthe headstone thereof nwith shoutings, ncrying, Grace, grace unto it.
8 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
9 The hands of hZerubbabel ohave laid the foundation of this house;
pHis hands shall also finish it;
And qthou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.
10 For who hath despised the day of rsmall things?
||For they shall rejoice, and shall see sthe †plummet in the hand of hZerubbabel with those seven;
They are uthe eyes of the Lord, vwhich run to and fro through the whole earth.
11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these ftwo olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? 12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which †through the two golden pipes ||empty †the golden oil out of themselves? 13 And he answered me and said, gKnowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 14 Then said he, These are the two †anointed ones, wthat stand by xthe Lord of the whole earth.
5 Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying aroll. 2 And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits. 3 Then said he unto me,
This is bthe curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth:
For ||cevery one that stealeth dshall be cut off as eon this side according to it;
And gevery one that sweareth dshall be cut off as eon that side according to it.
4 I will bring it forth, saith the Lord of hosts,
And it shall enter into the house of the thief,
And into the house of ghhim that sweareth hfalsely by my name:
And iit shall remain in the midst of his house,
And jshall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
5 Then kthe angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth. 6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is lan ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their mresemblance through all the earth. 7 And, behold, there was lifted up a ||ntalent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah. 8 And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast othe weight of lead upon the mouth thereof. 9 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and pthe wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of qa stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven. 10 Then said I to kthe angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah? 11 And he said unto me, To build it an house in rthe land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.
