3 And unto athe angel of the church in bSardis write; These things saith he that hath cthe seven Spirits of God, and dthe seven stars; I eknow thy works, that thou hast a name fthat thou livest, and fgart dead. 2 Be hwatchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy iworks perfect before God. 3 kRemember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and lrepent. If therefore thou shalt not hwatch, I will mcome on thee nas a thief, and nthou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. 4 Thou hast a few onames even in bSardis which have not pdefiled their garments; and they shall walk with me qin white: for they are rworthy. 5 sHe that overcometh, the same tshall be clothed qin white raiment; and I will not ublot out his name out of vthe book of life, but wI will confess his name before my Father, and xbefore his angels. 6 yHe that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
7 And to athe angel of the church in zPhiladelphia write; These things saith ahe that is bholy, ahe that is ctrue, he that hath dthe key of David, ehe that openeth, and no man shutteth; and fshutteth, and no man openeth; 8 gI know thy works: behold, I have set before thee han open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not idenied my name. 9 Behold, I will make them of kthe synagogue of Satan, kwhich say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, lI will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that mI have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, nI also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon oall the world, to try pthem that dwell upon the earth. 11 qBehold, I come quickly: rshold that fast which thou hast, that no man take tthy crown. 12 uHim that overcometh will I make va pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him wthe name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is xnew Jerusalem, ywhich cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him zmy new name. 13 aHe that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
14 And unto bthe angel of the church ||of the cLaodiceans write; These things saith the dAmen, ethe faithful and ftrue witness, gthe beginning of the creation of God; 15 hI know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: iI would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, kI am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee lto buy of me mgold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and nwhite raiment, othat thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 pAs many as qI love, I rebuke and chasten: rbe zealous therefore, and srepent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and tuknock: uif any man hear my voice, and open the door, vI will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 wTo him that overcometh will I grant xto sit with me in my throne, even as yI also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22 zHe that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
4 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was aas it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, bCome up hither, and cI will shew thee things which must be hereafter. 2 And immediately dI was in the spirit: and, behold, efa throne was set fin heaven, and one sat on the throne. 3 And he that sat was to look upon like a gjasper and a hsardine stone: and there was ia rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an jemerald. 4 And kround about the throne were lfour and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw lmfour and twenty elders sitting, nclothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads ocrowns of gold. 5 And out of the throne proceeded plightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven qlamps of fire burning before the throne, which are rthe seven Spirits of God. 6 And before the throne there was sa sea of glass like unto sscrystal: and tin the midst of the throne, and kround about the throne, were tfour beasts ufull of eyes before and vbehind. 7 And wthe first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. 8 And the four beasts had each of them xsix wings about him; and they were ufull of eyes within: and †they rest not yday and night, saying, zHoly, holy, holy, Lord God aAlmighty, bwhich was, and is, and is to come. 9 And when those beasts give cglory and chhonour and dthanks to him that sat on the throne, ewho liveth for ever and ever, 10 fThe four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship ehim that liveth for ever and ever, and cast ftheir crowns before the throne, saying, 11 gThou art worthy, O Lord, to receive cglory and chhonour and power: for ithou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
5 And I saw in the right hand of ahim that sat on the throne ba book written within and con the backside, dsealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? 3 And no man ein heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. 4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. 5 And fone of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, gthe Lion hof the tribe of Juda, ithe Root of David, khath prevailed to open the book, and to loose lthe seven seals thereof. 6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of mthe four beasts, and in mthe midst of the elders, stood noa Lamb as it had been oslain, having seven horns and pseven eyes, which are qthe seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. 7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of ahim that sat upon the throne. 8 And when he had taken the book, rthe four beasts and rfour and twenty elders fell down before nthe Lamb, having every one of them sharps, and tgolden vials full of ||odours, uwhich are the prayers of saints. 9 And they sung va new wsong, saying, xThou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for othou wast slain, and xxhast redeemed us to God yby thy blood out of zevery kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And ahast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels bround about the throne and cthe beasts and the elders: and the number of them was dten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12 Saying with a loud voice, eWorthy is fthe Lamb that was slain to receive gipower, and riches, and gwisdom, and gistrength, and ghhonour, and ghjglory, and gkblessing. 13 And levery creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, gkBlessing, and hhonour, and hglory, and mpower, be unto nhim that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. 14 And othe four beasts said, opAmen. And qthe four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped rhim that liveth for ever and ever.
