1 aJudge me, O Lord; for I have bwalked in mine integrity:
cI have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not dslide.
2 eExamine me, O Lord, and prove me;
3 For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes:
And hI have walked in thy truth.
4 iI have not sat with kvain persons,
Neither will I go in with dissemblers.
5 I have lhated the congregation of evil doers;
And iwill not sit with the wicked.
6 mI will wash mine hands in innocency:
So will I compass thine altar, O Lord:
7 That I may npublish with the voice of thanksgiving,
And tell of all thy owondrous works.
8 pLord, I have loved the habitation of thy house,
And qthe place †where thine honour dwelleth.
9 ||Gather not my soul with sinners,
Nor my life with †bloody men:
10 In whose hands is mischief,
And their right hand is †full of rbribes.
11 But as for me, I will swalk in mine integrity:
Redeem me, and be merciful unto me.
12 My foot standeth in an teven place:
uIn the congregations will I bless the Lord.
1 The Lord is amy light and bmy salvation; cwhom shall I fear?
The Lord is bthe strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, †came upon me to deat up my flesh,
They stumbled and fell.
3 eThough an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear:
Though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4 fOne thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after;
That I may gdwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold ||the hbeauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.
5 For in the time of trouble he shall ihide me in his pavilion:
In the secret of his tabernacle shall he ihide me;
He shall jset me up upon a rock.
6 And now shall kmine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me:
Therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices †of joy;
I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.
7 lHear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice:
lHave mercy also upon me, and answer me.
8 ||When thou saidst, mSeek ye my face; my heart said unto thee,
Thy face, Lord, will I seek.
9 nHide not thy face far from me;
Put not thy servant away in anger:
Thou hast been my help; leave me not,
Neither forsake me, oO God of my salvation.
10 When my father and pmy mother forsake me,
Then the Lord †will take me up.
11 qTeach me thy way, O Lord,
And lead me in †a plain path, because of †mine enemies.
12 rDeliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies:
For sfalse witnesses are risen up against me, and such as tbreathe out cruelty.
13 I had fainted, unless I had believed
To see the goodness of the Lord uin the land of the living.
14 xWait on the Lord:
yBe of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:
Wait, I say, on the Lord.
1 Unto thee will I cry, O Lord amy rock; bbe not silent †to me:
Lest, if thou be silent †to me, cI become like cdthem that go down into the pit.
2 iiHear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee,
When I ddlift up my hands ||etoward thy holy foracle.
3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with ffthe workers of iniquity,
gWhich speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.
4 hGive them according to their deeds,
And according to the wickedness of their endeavours:
Give them after the work of their hands;
Render to them hhtheir desert.
5 Because ithey regard not the works of the Lord,
Nor the operation of his hands,
He shall destroy them, and not build them up.
6 Blessed be the Lord, because he hath iiheard the voice of my supplications.
7 The Lord is my strength and my jshield;
My heart ktrusted in him, and I am helped:
Therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
And with my song will I praise him.
8 The Lord is ||their strength,
And he is the †saving strength of his anointed.
9 Save lthy people,
And bless lthine inheritance:
||Feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
1 Give unto the Lord, O †ye mighty,
aGive unto the Lord glory and strength.
2 aGive unto the Lord †athe glory due unto his name;
Worship the Lord ||in bthe beauty of holiness.
3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters:
cThe God of glory thundereth:
The Lord is upon ||dmany waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is †powerful;
The voice of the Lord is †full of majesty.
5 The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars;
Yea, the Lord breaketh ethe cedars of Lebanon.
6 He maketh them also to fskip like a calf;
Lebanon and gSirion like a young hunicorn.
7 The voice of the Lord †divideth the flames of fire.
8 The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness;
The Lord shaketh the wilderness of iKadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord maketh kthe hinds ||to calve,
And discovereth the forests:
And in his temple ||doth every one speak of his glory.
10 The Lord sitteth upon lthe flood;
Yea, mthe Lord sitteth King for ever.
11 The Lord will give nstrength unto his people;
The Lord will bless his people with peace.
*A *Psalm and Song †at the dedication of the house of David.
1 aI will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up,
And hast aanot made my foes to rejoice over me.
2 O Lord my God, bI cried unto thee, and thou hast bbhealed me.
3 O Lord, cthou hast brought up my soul from dthe grave:
Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not ego down to the pit.
4 Sing unto the Lord, O ye fsaints of his,
And give thanks ||at the remembrance of his holiness.
5 For g†his anger endureth but a moment; hin his favour is life:
iWeeping may endure †for a night, but †joy cometh jin the morning.
6 And kin my prosperity I said,
lI shall never be moved.
7 Lord, by thy favour thou hast †made my mountain to stand strong:
mThou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
And mmunto the Lord I made supplication.
9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit?
nShall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
10 oHear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me:
Lord, be thou my helper.
11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning pinto dancing:
Thou hast put off my qsackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
12 To the end that ||my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
