*A Psalm.
1 O asing unto the Lord a new song;
For bhe hath done marvellous things:
cHis right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
2 dThe Lord hath made known his salvation:
deHis righteousness hath he ||fopenly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
3 He hath gremembered his hmercy and his htruth toward the house of Israel:
diAll the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 kMake a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth:
lMake a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
5 Sing unto the Lord with the mharp;
mWith the harp, and nthe voice of a psalm.
6 With otrumpets and sound of pcornet
kqMake a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.
7 rLet the sea roar, and sthe fulness thereof;
The world, and they that dwell therein.
8 Let the floods tclap their hands:
Let uthe hills be joyful together
9 Before the Lord; xfor he cometh to judge the earth:
With righteousness shall he judge the world,
And the people ywith equity.
1 aThe Lord reigneth; let the people tremble:
bHe sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth †be moved.
And he is chigh above all the people.
3 Let them praise thy dgreat and deterrible name;
For fit is holy.
4 The gking’s strength also loveth judgment;
Thou dost establish hequity,
Thou executest ijudgment and righteousness in Jacob.
5 kExalt ye the Lord our God,
And worship at lhis footstool;
6 noMoses and Aaron among his opriests,
And npSamuel among them that call upon his name;
They qcalled upon the Lord, and phe answered them.
7 He spake unto them in the rcloudy pillar:
sThey kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.
8 Thou answeredst tthem, O Lord our God:
Thou wast a God that uforgavest them,
wThough thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.
9 kExalt the Lord our God,
And worship at xhis holy hill;
A Psalm of ||praise.
1 aMake a joyful noise unto the Lord, †aall ye lands.
2 bServe the Lord with gladness:
Come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the Lord he is God:
It is he that hath cmade us, ||and not we ourselves;
We are dhis people, and dthe sheep of his pasture.
4 eEnter into his gates with thanksgiving,
And into his fcourts with praise:
gBe thankful unto him, and bless his name.
1 I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing.
2 I will abehave myself wisely in a perfect way. O bwhen wilt thou come unto me?
I will cwalk within my house with cda perfect heart.
3 I will set no †wicked thing before mine eyes:
eI hate the work of fthem that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
4 gA froward heart shall depart from me: I will not hknow a wicked person.
5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I icut off:
Him that hath kan high look and la proud heart mwill not I suffer.
6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me:
He that walketh ||nin a perfect way, he shall serve me.
7 oHe that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house:
He that telleth lies †shall not tarry in my sight.
8 I will pearly idestroy all the wicked of the land;
That I may cut off all qwicked doers from rthe city of the Lord.
A *Prayer ||of the afflicted, when he is †overwhelmed, and *poureth out his complaint before the Lord.
1 aHear my prayer, O Lord,
And let my bcry ccome unto thee.
2 dHide not thy face from me
In the day when eI am in trouble; fincline thine ear unto me:
gIn the day when I call hanswer me speedily.
3 iFor my days are consumed ||like smoke,
And kmy bones are burned as an hearth.
4 My heart is smitten, and lwithered like grass;
llSo that I forget to eat my bread.
5 By reason of the voice of my groaning mmy bones cleave to my ||skin.
6 I am like a npelican of the wilderness:
I am like an oowl of the desert.
7 I pwatch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.
8 Mine enemies reproach me all the day;
And they that are qmad against me are sworn ragainst me.
9 For I have eaten ashes like bread,
And smingled my drink with weeping,
10 Because of thine indignation and thy wrath:
For thou hast tlifted me up, and ucast me down.
11 My days are xlike a shadow ythat declineth;
And I am lwithered like grass.
12 But zthou, O Lord, shalt endure for ever;
And athy remembrance bunto all generations.
13 Thou shalt arise, and chave mercy upon Zion:
For the time to favour her, yea, the dset time, is come.
14 For thy servants take pleasure in eher stones,
And favour fthe dust thereof.
15 So the heathen shall gfear the name of the Lord,
And hall the kings of the earth thy glory.
16 When ithe Lord shall build up Zion,
He jshall appear in his glory.
17 kHe will regard the prayer of lthe destitute,
And not despise their prayer.
18 This shall be mwritten nfor the generation to come:
And othe people which shall be created shall praise pthe Lord.
19 For he hath qlooked down from the height of his sanctuary;
rFrom heaven did the Lord behold the earth;
20 To hear sthe groaning of the prisoner;
To loose †those that are appointed to death;
21 To tdeclare the name of the Lord in Zion,
And his praise in Jerusalem;
22 When the people are gathered together,
And uthe kingdoms, to serve the Lord.
23 He †weakened my strength in the way;
xHe shortened my days.
24 yI said, O my God, ztake me not away ain the midst of my days:
bThy years are cthroughout all generations.
25 dOf old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth:
And the heavens are the work of thy hands.
26 eThey shall perish, but fthou shalt †endure:
Yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment;
As a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
27 But gthou art the same,
And thy years shall have no end.
