Job 19:4–6 — The New International Version (NIV)

If it is true that I have gone astray,

my error remains my concern alone.

If indeed you would exalt yourselves above me

and use my humiliation against me,

then know that God has wronged me

and drawn his net around me.

Job 19:4–6 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

And be it indeed that I have erred,

Mine error remaineth with myself.

If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me,

And plead against me my reproach:

Know now that God hath overthrown me,

And hath compassed me with his net.

Job 19:4–6 — New Living Translation (NLT)

Even if I have sinned,

that is my concern, not yours.

You think you’re better than I am,

using my humiliation as evidence of my sin.

But it is God who has wronged me,

capturing me in his net.

Job 19:4–6 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

And if indeed I have erred,

My error remains with me.

If indeed you exalt yourselves against me,

And plead my disgrace against me,

Know then that God has wronged me,

And has surrounded me with His net.

Job 19:4–6 — New Century Version (NCV)

Even if I have sinned,

it is my worry alone.

If you want to make yourselves look better than I,

you can blame me for my suffering.

Then know that God has wronged me

and pulled his net around me.

Job 19:4–6 — American Standard Version (ASV)

And be it indeed that I have erred,

Mine error remaineth with myself.

If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me,

And plead against me my reproach;

Know now that God hath subverted me in my cause,

And hath compassed me with his net.

Job 19:4–6 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

And be it that I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself. If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and prove against me my reproach, Know now that †God hath overthrown me, and hath surrounded me with his net.

Job 19:4–6 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

Even if it were true that I’ve made a mistake without realizing it,

my mistake would affect only me.

If you are trying to make yourselves look better than me

by using my disgrace as an argument against me,

then I want you to know that God has wronged me

and surrounded me with his net.

Job 19:4–6 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

Even if it is true that I have sinned,

my mistake concerns only me.

If you really want to appear superior to me

and would use my disgrace as evidence against me,

then understand that it is God who has wronged me

and caught me in His net.

Job 19:4–6 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

And even if it is true that I have erred,

my error remains with me.

If indeed you magnify yourselves against me,

and make my humiliation an argument against me,

know then that God has put me in the wrong,

and closed his net around me.

Job 19:4–6 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

And what is more, if I have truly erred,

my error remains with me.

If indeed you must magnify yourselves against me,

and you must let my disgrace argue against me,

know then that God has wronged me

and has surrounded me with his net.

Job 19:4–6 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

Suppose it’s true that I’ve gone down the wrong path.

Then it’s my concern, not yours.

Suppose you want to place yourselves above me.

Suppose you want to use my shame to prove I’m wrong.

Then I want you to know that God hasn’t treated me right.

In fact, he has captured me in his net.

Job 19:4–6 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

Even if I have truly erred,

My error lodges with me.

If indeed you vaunt yourselves against me

And prove my disgrace to me,

Know then that God has wronged me

And has closed His net around me.
