Daniel 7:9–11 — The New International Version (NIV)

“As I looked,

“thrones were set in place,

and the Ancient of Days took his seat.

His clothing was as white as snow;

the hair of his head was white like wool.

His throne was flaming with fire,

and its wheels were all ablaze.

10 A river of fire was flowing,

coming out from before him.

Thousands upon thousands attended him;

ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him.

The court was seated,

and the books were opened.

11 “Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire.

Daniel 7:9–11 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. 10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. 11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.

Daniel 7:9–11 — New Living Translation (NLT)

I watched as thrones were put in place

and the Ancient One sat down to judge.

His clothing was as white as snow,

his hair like purest wool.

He sat on a fiery throne

with wheels of blazing fire,

10 and a river of fire was pouring out,

flowing from his presence.

Millions of angels ministered to him;

many millions stood to attend him.

Then the court began its session,

and the books were opened.

11 I continued to watch because I could hear the little horn’s boastful speech. I kept watching until the fourth beast was killed and its body was destroyed by fire.

Daniel 7:9–11 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

“I watched till thrones were put in place,

And the Ancient of Days was seated;

His garment was white as snow,

And the hair of His head was like pure wool.

His throne was a fiery flame,

Its wheels a burning fire;

10 A fiery stream issued

And came forth from before Him.

A thousand thousands ministered to Him;

Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him.

The court was seated,

And the books were opened.

11 “I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn was speaking; I watched till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame.

Daniel 7:9–11 — New Century Version (NCV)

“As I looked,

thrones were put in their places,

and God, the Eternal One, sat on his throne.

His clothes were white like snow,

and the hair on his head was white like wool.

His throne was made from fire,

and the wheels of his throne were blazing with fire.

10 A river of fire was flowing

from in front of him.

Many thousands of angels were serving him,

and millions of angels stood before him.

Court was ready to begin,

and the books were opened.

11 “I kept on looking because the little horn was bragging. I kept watching until finally the fourth animal was killed. Its body was destroyed, and it was thrown into the burning fire.

Daniel 7:9–11 — American Standard Version (ASV)

I beheld till thrones were placed, and one that was ancient of days did sit: his raiment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, and the wheels thereof burning fire. 10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousands of thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. 11 I beheld at that time because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake; I beheld even till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed, and it was given to be burned with fire.

Daniel 7:9–11 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

I beheld till thrones were set, and the Ancient of days did sit: his raiment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was flames of fire, and its wheels burning fire. 10 A stream of fire issued and came forth from before him; thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. 11 I beheld therefore, because of the voice of the great words that the horn spoke; I beheld till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed, and it was given up to be burned with fire.

Daniel 7:9–11 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

I watched until thrones were set up

and the Ancient One, who has lived for endless years, sat down.

His clothes were as white as snow

and the hair on his head was like pure wool.

His throne was fiery flames,

and its wheels were burning fire.

10 A river of fire flowed.

It came from him.

Thousands and thousands served him.

Ten thousand times ten thousand were stationed in front of him.

The court convened,

and the books were opened.

11 I continued to watch because of the impressive words that the horn was speaking. I watched until the animal was killed. Its body was destroyed and put into a raging fire.

Daniel 7:9–11 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

“As I kept watching,

thrones were set in place,

and the Ancient of Days took His seat.

His clothing was white like snow,

and the hair of His head like whitest wool.

His throne was flaming fire;

its wheels were blazing fire.

10 A river of fire was flowing,

coming out from His presence.

Thousands upon thousands served Him;

ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him.

The court was convened,

and the books were opened.

11 “I watched, then, because of the sound of the arrogant words the horn was speaking. As I continued watching, the beast was killed and its body destroyed and given over to the burning fire.

and flowed out from his presence.

A thousand thousands served him,

and ten thousand times ten thousand stood attending him.

Until thrones were set up,

And the Ancient of Days took His seat;

His throne was ablaze with flames,

Its wheels were a burning fire.

10 “A river of fire was flowing

And coming out from before Him;

Thousands upon thousands were attending Him,
